Fehu Meaning
FAY-hu
Meaning
Historically, cattle were a pretty important part of Norse culture; as with many other societies of the time, having livestock indicated significant wealth cultivated over time. However, the iron-age Norse people were not a culture to cling to their wealth. According to Paxson, generosity was the #1 virtue in Viking-era Norse society; while wealth was a thing to be guarded, it was not to be hoarded. Money is ultimately worthless if it's gripped too tightly. Then and today, the true riches of a soul's wealth come from a life well-lived.
